Woodstock Dog Training

Excellence Together

I have been training dogs since 1988, initially starting with the Royal Air Force Police. Successfully training dogs in asset protection, crowd control, intruder detection, wind scenting, directional send outs and apprehension.

My career with the RAF culminated in taking an 18 month old German Shepherd to the UK RAF Police dog working trials and gaining 5th place in the process. A great achievement with such a young, intelligent dog.

From the RAF, I progressed into Thames Valley Police, where I trained with many Police dogs in tracking, search, protection and firearms tactics.

Until recently, I was an Area Manager for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People an assistance dog charity and was able to work with several different breeds and very willing volunteers.

When training dogs I attempt to work out why they exhibit certain behaviours, how they are thinking and work alongside the owners. We can then progress the dog together having discussed the dog’s tendencies.

I would now like to share my knowledge, skills and wealth of experience, attempting to give owners a better pet experience by assisting them and their dogs to reach true potential.
